IHOU 001 - Living in the USA: Cultural and Academic Transitions  

The Cultural and Academic Transitions course is designed to help the first time college student, a first generation college student (and family), and non-native English speakers who will be transitioning into the culture of the United States of America. This is accomplished by providing instruction in U.S. government on national and local levels, economic issues, cultural and social issues, and education. This course is developed in both English and Spanish.  A toggle button allows the learner to choose the language of instruction for each piece of content in the course.

IHOU 002 - Introduction to Computers  

This course is designed to offer a basic understanding of technology as well as a strong skill set specific to the Microsoft Windows environment and Office suite application software. The purpose of the course is to introduce students to computer hardware, software, and terminology.  The course will focus on giving the students extensive exercises on Internet usage, file management, and microcomputer software such as word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation.
